26-year-old Dewan Burrage of Meridian has been charged with several charges: aggravated domestic violence, receiving stolen property and felony DUI.
Police say the charges stem from Burrage allegedly driving a stolen car Apr. 4 while drunk and repeatedly ramming another vehicle, causing it to wreck. The other car was driven by the mother of his child. She received minor injuries in the collision.
Burrage was taken into custody Sunday after a short foot chase and afterwards it was determined he was DUI.
Because Burrage was already facing a felony DUI through the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department, this DUI was upgraded to a felony as well.
Bond for Burrage was set at $50,000 per charge.
