Meridian, Miss. A local car club is raising money for a young cancer patient.
Independent Riderz is raising money this weekend for 14-year-old Tuluni Moore, who has leukemia.
The fundraiser, called the $3 Challenge, will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Donations will be accepted Fred's on 8th Street in Meridian and Highland Park.
"We try to do for people that have this kind of thing going on with them," said club vice-president James Smith. "And we are going to continue to do it no matter who it is and where it's at or what we have to do it."
This year marks the second year the club has raised money for a child with cancer. A check for the proceeds will be presented to Tuluni and her family later.
The Independent Riderz Car Club plans on doing other fundraisers this summer to help more children diagnosed with cancer.
