A wreck in Meridian late Thursday morning re-routed traffic on 23rd Avenue for a few hours.
Meridian police say a car hit a utility pole in the 1900 block of 23rd Avenue about 11:30 a.m. The pole cracked and a transformer fell to the ground.
The block had to be closed to thru-traffic so the pole could be replaced.
No one suffered serious injury in the collision.
