Groups seeking to establish a charter school in Mississippi have until March 14 to submit their applications.
But the target may move a little for the groups.
The Charter School Authorizer Board agreed earlier this month to release its application. But members also agreed to seek public comments through the state rule-making process, which could lead to revisions.
Board Chairman Tommie Cardin says he expects revisions to be minor.
The board is also waiting on the Department of Finance and Administration to set up its bank account, which is holding up a donation from businessman Jim Barksdale.
Brother Claiborne Barksdale confirms to The Associated Press that the gift is pending. Jim Barksdale could not immediately be reached for comment.
An October opinion from the Ethics Commission cleared the donation.
