Pre-school kids at the Central United Methodist Church Children's Center continued a tradition of reaching out to others.
Classes adopt themes and then dress the part, as they create awareness of a need for a cancer cure. They collect money all week to send to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.
"Our theme every year is children helping children," said Abby Gates. "And believe it or not, the children know that what they do all week is helping other children who are sick. And that's pretty amazing in itself that they understand that, so it's good to start that at a young age."
The classes took part in a special room decorating contest as well. Our own Chip Scarborough was happy to serve as one of the judges.
