A much needed donation was made Friday to the Multi-County Community Service Agency.
An area group, made up of four churches, called Unity Fellowship, made a $500 contribution to MCCSA on the steps of city hall.
As MCCSA continues to work toward keeping the doors of South Harbor Shelter open, the donation is very much appreciated.
"As always, I thank them," said MCCSA director Callie Cole. "This is a community that responds to people; they are concerned about people that are in need."
"Our goal is to bridge the gap between the different denominations, and to promote unity and and fellowship," said Pastor James Hopson, president of Unity Fellowship. "And part of that process is, I feel, giving back to the community."
Tabernacle in Daleville, Tamolla Church of God, the Greater Outreach Missionary Baptist Church, and the First Church of God in Quitman make up Unity Fellowship. It also makes contributions to other area organizations.
