Citizens National Bank kicked off its Think Pink Checking Account with an event to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The bank waives certain fees on checking accounts and makes a donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Members handed out pink lemonade and pink cookies as part of the event.
Newscenter 11 talked with a breast cancer survivor who says you have to be your own health advocate.
"Even though my family had a history of breast cancer, I still didn't do, you know, getting my mammogram or anything done," said Lisa Culpepper. "I just thought it was them and not me. Early detection is really important."
Breast Cancer Awareness Month events will run throughout all of October.
