Doing well in school can really pay off, in more ways than one.
For the past three years, Clarkdale High School students have been rewarded for scoring at the proficient and advanced levels on subject area testing.
Each time, they have chosen to go bowling.
Last week, ninth and tenth graders enjoyed the outing. Friday, juniors and seniors enjoyed a field trip to Family Bowl Lanes.
"it's just a privilege to be able to come because, you know, we worked so hard all year round," said student Samantha Haywood. "And it's just fun and a good opportunity to be able to come and be recognized for our hard work.".
Clarkdale High School principal, Cheryl Thomas, says about half of students achieved the high ranking on state tests.
