Candidates seeking office in Clarke County gathered for a rally on Saturday afternoon.
The crowd was small for the rally held at the multi-purpose building in Quitman. Candidates, including Quitman Mayor Eddie Fulton, had an opportunity to talk about why they are running and how they intend to serve Clarke County.
"All of these candidates, they go around, shaking people's hand," Lonnie Sumrall from the Clarke County NAACP says. "Trying to get people to vote for them and then making promises about what they're going to do, what they want to do. All they have to do is stick to they word."
The rally was sponsored by the Clarke County NAACP.
