Suspects accused of murdering an EMEPA worker this past week remain behind bars in Clarke County.
Bond for 36-year-old Keith Davis and his wife, 33-year-old Jo Ann Davis has been set at $600,000 and $100,000 respectively. The two are charged in the shooting death of Nathan Baker last Monday. The shooting occurred when Baker went to the couple's house to turn off the power due to an unpaid bill.
Sheriff Todd Kemp is explaining more about why the gunman is not facing a capitol murder charge.
"It has to be within the commission of a felony to get a capitol murder charge," Kemp says. "The evidence will show in this case, without going into in depth part of it, this is all after the fact."
The couple's son is facing an accessory charge in this case. His case is being handled in youth court.
