Sen. Thad Cochran spoke out for the first time Friday about a photo controversy involving his wife.
Four men have been charged with various crimes for taking images of Cochran's bedridden wife, who resides in a nursing home, and posting them on the Internet.
"I don't know anything that anybody else doesn't know," said Cochran. "It's an unfortunate, sort of bizarre, incident. But it's being handled by the authorities and I'm trusting their good judgment, the system, to be fair with her, with others who are involved."
His GOP primary opponent, Chris McDaniel, has said he is not involved in any way with the images.
