Two local colleges are teaming up for an information session designed to better prepare high school students for college.
Meridian Community College and MSU Meridian will host College Connect 2012 Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the MCC gymnasium.
Organizers say preparing for college can be overwhelming and that having some one-on-one time with college officials can help make that transition more smooth.
"We really want to encourage parents, students, particularly high school students and/or those who may be in school or thinking about school to get those questions asked," Lisa Sollie with MSU Meridian says. "This will be a chance for some one-on-one time. This is not a job fair or some things we've done in the past together. This is really information to make it simple to break down the process. "
Officials will also be on hand to discuss financial aid opportunities, as well as degree and career paths.
