Redline redevelopment was the topic of a community meeting held on Thursday evening.
The meeting was held at the Weschler Community Arts Center to inform the community about reconstructing the redline community. Organizers say they are hoping to make the old Wechsler School into a community resource center. A place where area residents can come for a number of things.
"We just want to open it to the community say they can utilize it," according to Adrian Cross from the Wechsler Community Arts Center. "We want to get our youth off the streets and somewhere where they can learn life lessons, things that can help them and effect them in the long run. That is what Wechsler is about at this time. That's how I feel now."
Organizers of the community say they are relying on feedback from the community in order to improve the redline community.
