Professionals who work with children in foster and adoptive care have come to Meridian for an annual conference.
Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth is hosting that event.
The 24th annual 'Lookin' to the Future Conference' includes workshops on a variety of topics, including adoption and foster care, clinical issues, and professional development.
"It's a big training event here; we have professionals in place here in mental health, child placing agencies, foster and adoptive agencies, and they've traveled all across the state to be here this week at the MSU Riley Center," said Lynda Robinson, adoption recruiter.
Walk-ins to the conference are welcome. Thursday's is 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Friday's session is 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
