Specialized emergency response training was developed for men and women to get the most realistic hands-on training in the tactical medical field.
This course integrates medical and tactical education, scenario-based teaching, firearms instruction, and personalized attention from the training cadre.
"The 3-day course is spelled out kind of like the course curriculum goes. The first day they get to get a lot of the medical stuff where they end up learning about wound care and how to render aid," said Street. "And the first day is nothing but scenarios they are given; they have to go in and work that situation whether it's a small cut, all the way up to a gunshot wound."
The three day training teaches men and women first response on tactical medical training skills in a hostile environment.
