Meridian, Miss. Dairy Queen in Meridian observed Miracle Treat Day to help raise money for Mississippi's only children's hospital.
One dollar from every ice cream purchase at the restaurant is going to Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson.
Dairy Queen has sponsored Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 1984.
The donations will go to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all in support of saving and improving the lives of as many children as possible.
"We do this every year, generally, to help the kids," said general manager, Angela Marshall. "I mean, if it was one of mine, I would like people to help also. It's just for the kids every year we do this."
Dairy Queen is located at 2129 Highway 39 North. It's open till 10:30 p.m.
