East Mississippi State Hospital carried on the decades-long holiday tradition of hosting its own Christmas parade.
Twenty-six floats made their way through the hospital grounds to the delight of staff and patients.
Hospital officials say they've been holding the event for a long time and it's one of the most anticipated events of the year.
"It's just a motivational thing for the residents," said Jo Ann Knight, volunteer service director. "They really enjoy it. They get out and get fresh air and get candy. It's just really one of their favorite things that we do."
Hospital officials say they'll also have numerous Christmas parties for the residents this year. Our own Andrea Williams was one of the parade judges.
