A new education program that started in Alabama is now being promoted in Mississippi. It's called, '21 Things You Need to Know About Career Readiness.' It's designed to help high school students be ready to enter college or the workforce.
"We're trying to help students realize that if they go rigorously into a program and attack it and everyday work on it, they can get better,' says program founder and Vann-Ray LLC CEO, Sarah Odom. ' We are using writing, reading for information and motivational techniques to help them,' says Odom.
A free seminar on the program will be held Tuesday, October 23rd from 11 AM until 2 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn in Meridian. The agency also plans to sponsor another such seminar on the campus of Alabama Southern Community College in Gilbertown, Alabama. At this time a date for that seminar has not yet been set.
