One month out from Mississippi's Giant House Party, much of the renovation work is complete in that stretch of cabins that caught fire in May of 2011.
"Talking to our cabin neighbors they are excited to have new cabins," says cabin owner Angela Gordon, "they are looking at the positive side of everything, and [the cabins] are just beautiful."
Work has continued in the off season to try and prevent any future fires on the grounds.
"We got good response from cabin owners," says Fair Manager Doug Thompson, "all of them came out and made sure their breakers were off [this winter], so we had good results from that."
All of the cabins are expected to be up and running by July, and Thompson says preparations are ahead of schedule for the fair which starts up July 27th.
