A Collinsville family is without its house after an overnight fire.
Members of the Trussell family on Wilsondale Road say they were awoken shortly after midnight. The fire is believed to have started in a utility room.
The Lauderdale County Fire Service says it appears an electrical malfunction started the fire, but an investigation is being conducted.
The Trussell family is grateful to be alive.
"Everything that we lost can be replaced," said Cecelia Trussell. "I just thank the lord that my husband and son that were here are still with us today."
"We don't suspect any sort of foul play. It's just us getting back out there to dig through the scene," said Allan Dover, Lauderdale County fire coordinator.
You may recall that Warren Trussell was involved in a serious car accident at the intersection of Hamerick Road and West Lauderdale Road in March 2012.
