A community is remembering a woman whose life was cut short just one week ago after her body was found inside of a burned mobile home.
Friends of Terri Gwyn dressed in purple as they gathered at the Neshoba County Library on Saturday night to not only remember their friend, but to also take a stand against domestic violence. Friends tell Newscenter 11 that Gwyn was involved in an abusive relationship at the time of her death and that it's important for them to encourage other women to get out of abusive relationships.
"No matter what they tell you, no matter what they say to you, if they hit you, if they mentally abuse you, please leave," Tiffany Moore says. "Not another chance, nothing that they say to you should make you want to stay in that relationship."
Gwyn's live-in boyfriend, Daniel Williamson, is charged with arson and murder in the case. His bond has been denied.
