It's summer time and drivers are filling up their vehicles with gas.
But that doesn't necessarily mean they plan on using that tank of gas for vacation or other recreational activities. Many are simply forced to just so they can drive to and from work. They say $3.17 still isn't good enough for them.
"That's bad!" Linda Matthews says. "I need it to come on down a little bit more."
"They're not coming down enough for me," Miranda Guadagnoli. "Because we travel a lot and we need it to come down a lot to help us meet our budget."
Most drivers we caught up with told us prices are still way too high to be able to drive and see family or do other things they'd like to be doing. However, one local woman said she and her family plan to travel for fun a little more now that prices are down slightly.
"It has showed an improvement," Chazelle Hudson. "It really has when you've got kids and you have to travel so far to go swimming, arcade places such as the park. Yeah, we get out and do a lot more traveling for the summer."
"I'm traveling less," Matthews says. "I'm not going to visit my folks. But we do travel and pick up our transportation people. But that's terrible too."
The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.56, according to Gasbuddy.com.
