Dustin Tasso and Matt James live together in a Toomsuba home, and they say in recent days, they have been harassed because they are an openly gay couple.
"Someone came to our home, busted our window out of the back of my car," says Tasso, "our home was broken into, profanity was spray painted on the front of our driveway, and you know it's just a scary feeling for us."
"We just felt like there needed to be something done," says James "because it's not just us this stuff happens everyday, and I mean it's not noticed or recognized and there's got to be some kind of justice."
Tasso has spoken with the Sheriff's department about some of the recent incidents, Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun says their investigation is just getting started.
"We don't have much information currently, we'll be looking at it making any determinations we can based off the evidence to see if there is anyone that can be charged with any type of crime," says Calhoun, "and if they can then that will happen."
As for any possibility of charges, it's too early in the investigation according to deputies.
