Meridian, Miss. A group of people gathered Thursday at Meridian City Hall to pray for the community.
The Meridian Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance and others met to ask for divine answers to solve the city's problems.
Alliance member, Dorothy Lloyd, says she believes Meridian's greatest need is spiritual in nature and can only be solved with 'the spirit of truth'.
"We have some concerns about our community and how things are going in our community so we are here to seek God and pray and ask God for his help for our city," Lloyd said.
City leaders or their representatives joined citizens and pastors of different denominations in praying for solutions to Meridian's problems.
