A Union student has been selected to lead a prestigious national academic merit club.
Brantley Hudnall recently returned from the National Junior Beta Club convention in North Carolina, where she was elected president.
Junior Beta Club is a national organization, which promotes academic achievement in grades five through nine. Hudnall says she's excited to be the new president.
"One of the main reasons I'm so excited about being national president and getting to travel is all the people I can tell about Jesus since I'm going to be traveling so much," said Hudnall. "And some states have 10,000 people in a convention. And I get to speak and I think that's really cool."
Beta Club, both senior and junior divisions, has more than 8400 clubs in 42 different states, and eight territories.
