Jobless Rates Down in Twin States

Alabama came in at 8.9%. That's the biggest drop in unemployment by any state in the country during the last year.

Gov. Bob Riley said the sharp decline shows Alabama's economy is headed in the right direction.

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour said Mississippi's 9.8% jobless rate is still too high, but demonstrates the economy is gradually recovering.
