Murder Suspect Turns Himself In

Clarke County, Miss. An Alabama murder suspect turned himself in Monday evening after local law enforcement spent the day searching for him.

Clarke County Sheriff Todd Kemp says 34-year old Steven Ladel Johnson, who is accused of killing someone in an 18-wheeler wreck turned himself in Monday evening. He has been charged with a murder in Randolph County, Alabama. Officials from agencies in two states searched the woods in northern Clarke County. Investigators got a tip that he was at a home in Clarke County Monday morning.

Officers from Clarke and Lauderdale (Miss.) and Choctaw County (Ala.) sheriff's departments took part in the search, as well as the Mississippi Highway Patrol, FBI, and Quitman Police Department.
