Authorities in Lauderdale County are trying to determine what set off gunfire at a party Monday night in Toomsuba and who was responsible.
Sheriff Billy Sollie said that no one was injured by gunfire but several vehicles were struck by bullets.
Sollie says the incident may have started after a car was burglarized at the scene. He said then a fight broke out, a car was stolen and shots were fired.
The sheriff said one person was taken to a Meridian hospital for treatment of injuries suffered during the fight.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Crimestoppers at 601-485-1860, or the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department at 601-482-9806.
