Lauderdale County emergency management workers have been keeping an eye on the skies and radar Wednesday.
Officials held a conference call with the National Weather Service in Jackson to get a gauge on the threat. They say they're prepared for whatever might happen.
"We're just going to have people watching the radar, staying in contact with the National Weather Service office in Jackson, and watching as the front moves closer to us and see what kind of activities we're getting off of it."
Sharp says LEMA will be prepared to get information out to the public as it is needed.
