Lauderdale County Students Get Back to Class


Lauderdale County, Miss. Lauderdale County students headed back to class for their first day of school Tuesday.

Students at Southeast Lauderdale High School got right into the swing of things for the new school year.

Julius Moore, the new principal of Southeast High, comes to the school from the Forest Municipal School District. He says the school has potential to do great things.

"My goal is personally is to make sure that each child receives a wonderful and great education, the best that we can offer," said Moore. "We're going to put great teachers in the classroom, those that are motivated and prepared to teach so that we can make sure our kids receive that academic education that we want them to have."

Moore says he wants the school to continue to improve academically and athletically and provide service to the community as an academic institution.
