Local leaders took time to educate area residents on important health issues today.
It was all part of the annual health fair held at EMEPA on Highway 39 North in Meridian. Experts were on hand to present different aspects of diseases, as well as preventative measures to live a more healthy and productive lifestyle.
"As leaders in the community, in the medical field, we are aware that there are many people out there that need help and due to insurance problems or purposes, they're not seeing a doctor," Gloria McAlpin says.
Local youth and adults were eligible to take part in the health fair.
