Philadelphia, Miss. A ribbon cutting and open house were held Thursday for the log cabin in Northside Park in Philadelphia.
The log cabin was destroyed by a tornado April 27, 2011. As soon as it was destroyed, plans were made to rebuild it.
The cabin was built as the library at Philadelphia High School in the 1940s before it was moved to Northside Park a couple of decades later.
Local officials and the Department of Archives and History helped get the cabin back up and running.
"They were here a few days after the tornado and been involved in even up to today," said Chris Burt of the Philadelphia Neshoba County Park Committee. "And without everyone's help, it would not be possible."
The cabin had been rebuilt once before back in the mid 1980s after it had partially burned.
The building can be rented for small groups by contacting Philadelphia City Hall.
