Meridian Community College saluted twelve retirees with a program Wednesday.
Those who have completed their time of service with the college this year have a combined 245-year work history at MCC. Those leaving represent all areas, from instruction to the physical plant.
The recognition is an annual tradition and college leaders say it's a simple way to say, 'We're proud of you'.
"I think a part of our success at Meridian Community College is due to the people that work here," said MCC vice-president Dr. Barbara Jones. "The passion and the commitment that our employees have, that is part of the success we have now and that we have had for the last 75 years."
Jones said the retirees who have given so much to the college are also a vital part of their communities as well.
