The Muscular Dystrophy Association got tough with some local people Wednesday, hauling them off to a makeshift 'lock up' at Union Station.

MDA sent police officers to pick people up, but it was all in fun and for a good cause.

Volunteers actually began raising money five weeks ago to be able to pay their bail. If they did, they got to ride back to their jobs in a limousine.

Executive director Jennifer McManus explains how the money raised is used.

"We're going to send children to summer camp for a week," said McManus. "And medical research and our loan closet, where if they can't afford wheelchairs, we'll get them one."

McManus says MDA hopes to raise $35,000 from pledges. She says the money raised in Mississippi stays in the state.
