Meridian police say they are investigating three commercial burglaries that happened early Tuesday morning.

Officials say members of Delta Platoon and the Criminal Investigations Division have three people in custody in connection with those break-ins and charges are pending.

The police department also announced the Friday arrest of 53-year-old Gregory V. Schlegel, of Philadelphia. He's charged with two counts of commercial burglary.

Officials say the charges stem from the burglaries of a business in Meridian just hours before. The MPD says Schlegel burglarized the business, then came back and broke in again.

The department said Delta Platoon investigated and identified the suspect, and Alpha Platoon made the arrest hours later.

Schlegel's bond was set at $20,000 on each charge.
