An incident was reported Monday night at a local game store. A man apparently went into the Game Stop near the Highway 19 Wal-Mart approximately 9:30 p.m. and took
a game system without paying and fled the store.
Police searched the area around the store but did not make an immediate arrest.
Earlier Monday, Meridian police were looking for several young people who were apparently involved in an armed robbery at a local apartment complex.
A man reported to police that he was robbed at gunpoint by four juveniles at about 3:30 p.m. outside Magnolia Courts on 24th Street. The juveniles ran away.
In a separate incident, Meridian police arrested a local man Monday in connection with a weekend shooting.
20-year-old Christopher Thompson has been charged with aggravated assault in a shooting Saturday afternoon around 4:00 on C Street.
The 43-year-old male victim was shot in the leg, and had non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the shooting stemmed from an argument between the suspect and the victim.
Bond for Thompson was set at $150,000.
