MSU Meridian celebrated its 40th anniversary on Friday.

MSU Meridian's first dean, Dr. David Moffett, says it is amazing to see where the school is 40 years later and the level of support it receives from the community.

Moffett was just one of many former staff members on hand for Friday's ice cream and cake celebration on the MSU Meridian campus. There were also photo albums showing the growth of MSU Meridian over the years. Students now say they are just honored to be a part of the history.

A brand new school year begins at MSU Meridian on Monday.
