Meridian's Magnolia Cemetery hosted its 3rd Annual Memorial Day Tribute.
The patriotic program included flag ceremonies, music by Amy Lott and speeches from veteran Jim Swartz and Mayor Cheri Barry.
The touching ceremonies even included the release of doves over the graves.
Bill Arlinghaus, the president of Magnolia Cemetery, says it's important to remember.
"We need to spend an hour or two on the day we're intended to do this, so that we can pay tribute and continue on with our lives. They've given us all of our freedoms and all of our rights," said Arlinghaus.
Arlinghaus says there are about 4200 veterans buried in Magnolia Cemetery.
