Police tape and bullet casings lined Manning Street where another man is the victim of a shooting. A black male at this home in the 4800 block was carried away in an ambulance with what police say is a gunshot wound to his back. Investigators arrived on scene just before 2 p.m. and are still working to determine exactly what happened.

"At this time, they're collecting evidence trying to piece what happened, it's still pending investigation at this time," Det. Dareall Thompson says.

You can see here multiple bullet holes in the home, but despite what appears to be several shots fired, the victim was only hit once. He was taken to the hospital, and police say his injury should not be life-threatening. Still, friends and family on scene were very shaken.

Police do know a vehicle was spotted leaving the home immediately after the shooting. The MPD says several witnesses have already come forward with helpful information about that vehicle. And they're welcoming any additional help.

"I can't say whether it was a drive-by, but we know a vehicle left the scene at that time. Hopefully, someone saw something an can just call and report it," Thompson says.
