Man Killed in Newton County Wreck

Newton County authorities say one man is dead following a single car crash on Friday afternoon.

Sheriff Jackie Knight says Johnny McCormick was driving along Newton-Calhoun Road around 5:00 p.m. when the crash happened.

Knight says McCormick was pulling a trailer with a lawn mower on it when he lost control.

McCormick was taken to a hospital and later died.
