Last week we first brought you the story of 71-year-old Alex Guillen of Toomsuba. Since his house burned three months ago, he's been living in an old tool shed on his property. Officials from Multi-County Community Service Agency, also known as MCCSA, are collecting donations to purchase a FEMA trailer for him. The projected cost for the trailer is between $2,500 and $4,000. So far, MCCSA officials say less than half the cost has been collected in donations.
Monetary donations to purchase the FEMA trailer can be made to MCCSA at 2590 Sellers Drive, Meridian, MS 39301. Please specify that the donation is for the Alex Guillan Fund. For more information on how you can help call MCCSA at (601) 483-4838.
