The Lauderdale County grand jury that met in March has issued its final report.
The 18-member panel returned 156 true bills of indictments and 16 no-true bills.
Among its recommendations for county buildings was the updating of the county courthouse "to the level of the offices of the board of supervisors".
It also recommended replacing cracked windows in the common area and hallways of the Lauderdale County Detention Facility. The grand jury also said the Criminal Investigations Division of the sheriff's department needs more space.
