Meridian Day at the Fair

Wednesday was Meridian Day at the Neshoba County Fair. Crowds poured into Founder's Square
for special activities.

The Northeast High School Navy Junior ROTC presented the colors to get the activities started, which included local singers performing.

Part of the fair's tradition is to honor our country.

"Just remember what our country is about, and what we're here for today," said Rob Allen told the crowd. "And that's the red, white, and blue, right? All right; we're excited to be here."

Mississippi and Meridian's Distinguished Young Women were on hand to hand out door prizes, along with Miss Meridian. Local organizations also helped the crowd stay cool with giveaway prizes, like fans.
