Meridian, Miss. A homicide suspect who turned himself in to Meridian police Wednesday night also faces other charges.
33-year-old Christopher J. Morris of Meridian is charged with murder, aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Morris is accused of shooting 45-year-old Manuel Torres Sept. 4 near Enterprise Funeral Home. Torres died of his injuries a week later.
The other charges are connected to shots fired into a nearby house.
Morris' bond was set at $500,000 for murder, $200,000 for aggravated assault and $25,000 for shooting into an occupied dwelling.
