About 60 MHS students were present Thursday to be inducted into the National Honor Society.

Students have to have at least a 3.5 GPA to be considered for induction, but as Meridian High's NHS advisor Shauna Waters points out, there are other requirements as well.

"This is so important because the National Honor Society is probably the premiere organization for honoring outstanding students as far as academics, leadership character, service, they are judged on all those things."

More than the 60 students present at Thursday's ceremony will be inducted into the society.

This is GREAT news, and proof positive that when parents, students, and teachers work together, great things can be accomplished! Congratulations to ALL 60 of these NHS students! God-speed in the journey.
