Those are among the new Mississippi laws that come into force Sunday, with the start of the state's 2012-2013 budget year. Gov. Phil Bryant signed more than 400 bills passed by the 2012 Legislature. Some became law with his signature. Others pertaining to changes in voting and elections await approval from the U.S. Justice Department. But many take effect July 1.
