New Police Station Vote

This afternoon at four the Meridian City Council is set to resume Tuesday's recessed meeting. At that time the council is expected to decide whether or not to sign a new lease with the company handling renovations for the new police department. Watkins Development is the development consulting firm overseeing the project. Work on the new police station stopped in February due to money woes and a delay in tax credits for the company.

legal fees are paid off the top. Wait on your misnomer tax breaks. The grass is greener on the other side but its rye grass. It will never stand up to the summer heat and sun.

Meridian will never do anything until there is new leadership and then that is even questionable. We need new ideas. The old school politics are not working for the Mayor. Until then... run away, run away...!

Why can't this city never do anything right? Is it just me or was the city better off with John Robert Smith being the mayor.

I am sure by the end of this project by whoever ends up doing it, the cost will be 5 million over budget and take 5 years to complete just like that huge "elephant" City Hall!

Do you wonder what fee is paid to Watkins or his development company by Meridian Law Enforcement LLC or by the City of Meridian? Watch out for the overages as per Watkins Development did for the City of Jackson. How do you get a "tax credit" when you have not done anything taxable ?
