A local mother says her special-needs son was still out of school Tuesday, a day after she made an impassioned plea to the school board.
Supporters of Kendel "Superman" Allen packed the Quitman School Board meeting Monday night.
Dee Allen asked the board to allow her child's aide of the last eight years to move to junior high with him.
Allen said she fears Kendel won't be able to function without that aide, who has a strong bond with her son.
The school board took no action on the matter Monday night.
