Plant Generating Business for Local Suppliers

Mississippi Power says construction of the lignite coal plant in Kemper County has generated business for many suppliers in the area.

Company president Ed Day tells Newscenter 11 that Mississippi Power has utilized over 250 companies in the state so far to help with building the facility. That's over $600 million going towards the companies.

Day says he hopes those companies will become suppliers for the plant, long term.
