Election officials want to make sure voters turn out to the polls, as runoff elections typically have lower turnout than other elections.
If you are voting tomorrow, make sure you know where to cast your vote.
As long as you are registered to vote, you are able to cast your ballot Tuesday.
"If someone did not vote on August the 2nd, they are eligible to vote," said Johnson. "They just go to their county precinct, which is listed first on their voter registration card. If someone voted Democrat on the 2nd, they have to vote Democrat tomorrow, the 23rd. If someone voted Republican on the 2nd, they have to vote Republican on the 23rd."
The person you vote for Tuesday may get that party's nomination, or win the office, due to not having any other opposition in November.
"You're electing your nominee from a party to run in the general election," said Johnson. "And sometimes, like tomorrow, some of these races could be over with. So it's so important. And we hope Lauderdale County shows up at the polls."
Polls are open Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
